Sushi Hub in Vancouver

First time here at Sushi Hub. Beautiful small sushi restaurant. They have Aburi Sushi here! The sashimi are very good here for a pretty good price point. They have very good service. Waiter today often made sure we had enough tea and would come by our table ever so often asking if we'd like more tea. The staff is friendly and respectful. We stayed there talking and sharing for about 2 hours and they did not ask us to leave. This is a nice location on Main Street! I will definitely come back. I encourage anyone who is looking for a good sushi restaurant to come here. They have good food! Their staff is friendly. The ambiance is nothing to write home about. But the environment was nice and quiet enough to have a conversation with friends. Highly recommended to give it a try!

One of the more affordable and yet delicious sushi option! They have the Volcano Hub which my wife and I love. Fresh Sea Urchin is also a recommendation if you are into sea urchin. Also any sashimi option with spicy mayo is a must! More people needs to know and come about this place!

A great Korean sushi place!!!The staff are friendly! They speak English and Korean! The food are served fast! The salmon sashimi is fresh, the nigiri are good, the appetizer tempera is delicious! The price is fair!It is kinda small and gets packed really fast at dinner time! Many people come here to get to-go, too!

As others mentioned it is a little bit overpriced BUT it's so TASTEFUL that it payoff

This place is seriously underrated. We obligingly ended up here after another popular restaurant we wanted to go to nearby was packed past capacity.We ended up ordering our usual go-to sushi dishes, and were converted into huge fans:the sushi is really delicious and it’s evident it’s made with skill and discipline, and decently priced. The whole experience was great; we were seated promptly and our tea cups refilled often.Of course after this experience, we kept coming back and leave happy every time.

Friendly service, clean. I would also state some items are priced on the high side, my salad was 8.50 with primarily garden mix. I will say the items are plated nicely. The sushi was standard.

Sushi hub is my favourite sushi restaurant in the city. The fish is always incredible quality and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. When my friends and family visit Vancouver, I always take them here.

Special rolls were good. Nigiri here are recommended. Aburi were pretty decent too. Not too pricey either. No complaints

Incredible. Very fresh sushi one day. So-so the next. Best tempura udon soup I've had. Tho the small amount of tempuraed items were not crispy. Tiny slivered vegetables almost al dente but not quite in supreme cloudy broth made for an exceptional meal.

Under new management!!!. It was sooooo good and reasonable price. I'm definitely coming back here.

This is a bit of a hidden gem. They have yummy aburi sushi and an excellent selection of some tasty chef specials. The place needs a bit of airflow at times. Definitely a great place to grab and go!

The Maki at least was delicious and well priced. Will go back to try more rolls for sure.

Great sushi 🍣 and friendly service. They also serve aburi sushi and parking is easy to find. If you are looking for a place that serves sushi in this neighbourhood, I would recommend Sushi Hub.

Great food Fair prices and good service

Very friendly and sweet staff. The food quality has been steadily increase over the past few months and this place has become one of my to-go sushi hubs! 😊

Very affordable sushi in the neighborhood. Not too busy on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The place isn't too large but feels cozy. Tons of variety and options to choose from. Portions are large as well especially given the price. The fish is fresh.

Very good food and good service.

I had an amazing meal here while on holidays. We just looked for a sushi restaurant that was close to us and ended up here. I had sunomono and a few rolls that I just randomly picked off the menu. I didn't even have words for how tasty they were. I will absolutely be making my way back here next time I'm in the area. It was definitely in the top 3 sushi meals that I've ever had.

good, nothing too bad. -1 🌟 because it doesn't look much and it could be better. had the donburi salmon, pretty good! rice is not sucky. would actually come back if im around this place.

edited march 14 2020ok...having tried most of the menu now...I have to update my review...EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!! cali, Bc crispy, fish n chips hub..miso..tea..CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I love this food and the entire staff are super friendly and helpful. I make this a weekly thing now.they the volcano roll!!!! everything was sooooo good. had a dynamite, volcano...another specially roll and sunomono...reasonably prices and friendly

Came here for a various selection of sushi. Everything tasted very fresh and was lots to choose from. Waitress was warm and welcoming and kept us refreshed with plenty of tea and water. The food is reasonably priced and we didn’t have to wait long for it to come out. Only criticism is the Virgin FM was a little too loud, kinda felt we was at someone’s work rather that a restaurant. Overall great experience and a must try.

Everything is just OKAY... nothing great. Sushi doesnt taste that fresh or special. The service is not great. When I went to pick up my order the lady gave me the food barely said thank you and seemed disinterested. I asked for extra chopsticks but she didn’t seem like she wanted to give me, 3 more pairs... i think there are better options in the area.

Though I love to eat-in I am so grateful that they graciously fill my own containers when I get take-out. That, the warm smiles that greet you, and the great food are what keep me coming back <3 Thank you Sushi Hub, so happy to live so close! The only thing missing is the OceanWise certification, but I understand that isn't easy.

Ordered a Chirashi Don for takeout tonight and right off the bat I was put off a bit because their website said it was $13 but I was charged $16 at the store. It wasn't a big deal until I opened it and saw a large amount of daikon and less fish than I am accustomed to. Now I would've given a one star but the quality of the fish and rice was quite good and I hadn't had the chance to try their other menu items or experience the atmosphere so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. As far as the Chirashi Don is concerned, though, definitely not worth it for the price as I can get similar quality at a lower price elsewhere.

Many sushi varieties and other Japanese food are available. Sushi is awesome. There may be a waiting time in weekdays lunch hours. Better to call before going there.

This place is more than amazing. It's been here since it just open. The portions are big, the prices are VERY AFFORDABLE and the service is fantastic. The food here is very fresh , high quality, and amazingly good. Always happy to visit because this place satisfies sushi craving very well.

They were great about coming around to refill tea and water. Rolls weren't overly packed with rice. Aburi has a nice charred flavor. Ingredients inside each roll was really good. Wakame salad was pretty tiny.

I love sushi but this place was only ok. I would come here if someone suggests it but I would no go out of my way. I’ve only been here one time. Price is average food is average.

We have been coming here since they first started to open, lovely and cozy place. They offer a lot of options for any sushi lovers, so you can be sure to find your favourite here. I'd recommend ordering the volcano hub and salmon sashimi with spicy mayo! These two combos cannot be beat price and quality else where! Parking can be a bit difficult but not hard to find.

Just had dinner with my friends. Aburi oshi sushi was unbelievably tasty compare to other places. Spicy salmon was nicely decorated and service was perfect. Made a takeout for my kids and party tray was delicious. Coming back here again for sure

super nice service.UPDATE:they separated my husbands bill from mine and he had paid his bill without knowing. So she called me back when i headed out the door with him. i also didnt have my wallet so he had to make another transaction. at first i really liked this place but I wont be coming back for a long while.

Delicious and quick. Had the white hub roll. The tuna tataki was so good.

I think they do a good job overall. Tried to find some brown rice sushi on Yelp and it directed me here but unfortunately they do not serve brown rice.

Had the lunch special fried chicken don and 4pc California roll with miso soup for $11. Very tasty and good portion but is not cheap. Very good service and the place is clean and spacious.

New management! The service was amazing and the food was good. The oshi and aburi items were quite flavorful but you can't expect it to be like Miku. For the neighborhood restaurant it is, I was impressed. I love the Scallop Aburi and White Hub roll.

Good sushi. Portions could be better. Always a seat and they do good takeout. Huge menu with plenty of options!

One of the best sushi places I’ve ever been

This place surprised me! I randomly decided to stop in after a meeting and was pleasantly surprised. Rolls are great, staff friendly and I felt like the quality of food was awesome. I definitely plan on going back and this might be my new go-to sushi place.

A great neighborhood spot.

GEM GEM GEM! They have the best lunch boxes in town! Hands down! With nice subtle taste without overpowering flavours. I come here for lunch alllll the time. Can't wait to dine in once virus is over.

This place is definitely on the pricy side. There aren’t many good combos and miso is not included. Overall I’m disappointed.

I have never been to a better sushi place. Staff is beyond friendly and welcoming!!! Sushi is very inexpensive and you get huge portions. You have to try it!

Unfortunately they have good sushi but terrible service and a lack of communication skills. Ordering over the phone is difficult, check each item in your order before you leave as they don't care if you get home and have a bunch of the wrong food? Very disappointing.
